Petros Argyrakis. Who is he? What does he look like?

Thessaloniki (White Tower) Thessaloniki! The capital of Macedonia, Greece and my favourite town. I was born there on November 22nd, 1971.

After graduating from the 14th High School I started studying Maths at the Aristotele University of Thessaloniki in 1989, but work has prevented me from getting a degree until now. I do prefer to work though, since life is the best school you can find. I never did like studying anyway..:-)

Line of work? Information Technology. I worked as a freelancer before the obligatory 18 months army tour, then for Microland computers, LIDL Hellas and currently for the European Agency for Reconstruction, first in Pristina, Kosovo and now in Thessaloniki.

Hobbies and Interests Arthur C. Clarke

I am a lot into Science Fiction so the books and the movies I enjoy most are of this nature. Favourite writers include Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke.

In my spare time (whatever that is) I enjoy watching a good movie either to a theatre or at home where I installed a small Home Theatre. My favourite movies are those directed by John Carpenter (Lived any good books, lately?) although lately his movies are a bit disappointing, the Star Trek movies and series. Hip-hop, Rap, Techno is not my thing I prefer to listen to Classical music, Pop or Rock. My favourite groups are U2 and Queen .

Used to play Basketball for Y.M.C.A. but since I had some injuries I play only with some friends every to keep in shape. I also enjoy Skiing, Tennis, Table Tennis and a little Football.

You could say that I am one of the fortunate people that their hobby has become their profession. My main hobby is now Computers and Communications via computers which I started exploring when Internet was still only at the States. But more about these subjects in the dedicated pages.
